Vietnam Airlines cuts red-eye prices

Vietnam Airlines on Wednesday announced an airfare reduction plan for their red-eye Hanoi – HCM City and Da Nang – HCM City routes.

Airfare for Hanoi – HCM City red-eye flights will go from VND1.5 million to VND930,000 from January 28 - May 5, 2008; HCM City – Hanoi will be reduced from VND1.5 million to VND1,130,000 from February 9 - 17, 2008.

Da Nang – HCM City and HCM City – Da Nang red-eyes will go from VND950,000 to VND500,000 from January 28 - May 5, 2008 and from VND950,000 to VND600,000 from February 9 - 17, 2008, respectively.

Red-eye flights are those taking off at 9.15pm, 9.30pm and 10pm. This kind of ticket does not include food and cannot be returned, extended or changed.

Passengers can book tickets as of January 1, 2008 at over 200 Vietnam Airlines locations or by phone 04-8320320 for those in the North, 08-8320320 for the South and 0511-3811111 for the central region.

Vietnam Airlines will also increase their number of domestic flights during the New Year season (from January 28 to February 17, 2008); 246 flights for the Hanoi – HCM City route or 15-22 flights per day.
