Popular with families and leisure travelers, the Victoria Hoi An features its own elephant, a large swimming pool set near the beach, a wide range of water sports and Victoria excursions into nearby Hoi An, as well as business facilities and a wide range of restaurants.
 Location
Victoria Hoi An Beach Resort & Spa is on the beachfront situated 5 km from the little town of Hoi An, with one side of the resort facing the river delta and the other side facing the sea area.

This is the premiere resort
in Hoi An, by price, location, and reputation.
The breezy lobby frames a great (picture perfect) view of the beautiful pool
and the ocean beyond it. A well-sized
tract of Cua Dai Beach
is reserved for guests of the hotel, and comfortable lounging chairs with
umbrellas are the envy of passers-by. A
so-so pulpy welcome drink is served upon check-in. The staff members are not particularly friendly
but speak decent English.
Coy fish ponds with canals
that allow the coy to travel between ponds run along the sidewalks that spread
out to the large complex of rooms. The
biggest drawback to the hotel is that it feels fairly large.
The rooms offer comfortable
beds, nice wood floors, and various styles of furnishings, including elegant
Japanese-style decorations. There are
nice beach views from some of the rooms, but not all. The bathrooms are well-done, though the
bathtubs are fairly unimpressive.
The resort is about 5km from
the Ancient town, and a free shuttle drives to town several times each
day. For those with a flair for the less
ordinary, hotel drivers can take guests in town on stylish motorcycles (with
sidecars :) for $4 each way.

Great location in summer right on the beach - especially if you just want to spend a weekend on the beach or get away from the noise of the Vietnam. Rooms comfortable but looking a bit dated now - compared with many of the newer hotels in Hoi An. Victoria has a welcoming feel - with a sense of Vietnam. Food is excellent and prices are ok. Excellent breakfast. Pool is right beside the beach, so you can choose either place for swimming. My preferred hotel in summer. |
