Near the river but not on
its bank, this hotel has a teaser location that gives you just enough river
views to make you wish that you were actually staying on the bank. That said, it’s a lovely hotel.
The lobby is clean and cool,
and the whole place exudes an old school charm, built in a rectangle around a
very nice courtyard. The staff is
friendly and speaks good English.
The rooms are furnished with
very comfortable beds, nice new wood floors in some rooms, and nice marble bathrooms.
Generally the place seems to
have a lot of history. In some cases
that could be a backhanded compliment, but here you sense the tradition in a
good way; old black-and-white pictures in the hallways mark famous visitors and
past landscapes of the city. The hotel
is very well-maintained.
The courtyard is especially
tranquil, evoking Ha Noi’s famed Sofitel Metropole from within the courtyard. The pool is very pleasant.

very nice hotel.
One of the best in whole Vietnam (as I travelled 2 times for 8 weeks). This is a hotel I don´t forget :-) |
