The Golden Sand Resort is a 5-star international resort in Hoi An managed by Swiss-Belhotel group.
Hotel facilities include swimming pools, fitness center, spa facilities, beach sports and a business and conference center, as well as a range of restaurants and bars.
Location
The Golden Sand Resort is located on 450 meters long gold sand beach of the South China Sea, only 10 minutes from Hoi An Town and approximately 40 minutes from Danang International Airport.

Superior Rooms - 32 sqm with a private balcony, located in a low rise building, fitted with a king size bed or 2 single beds. Bathrooms have a bathtub with an overhead shower.
Deluxe Rooms - 45 sqm with a private balcony, located in a low rise building, fitted with a king size bed only. Bathrooms have a bathtub with an overhead shower.

The Golden Sand Resort is
beautiful and impressive overall. The
Resort has great and spacious lobby, as well as many good restaurants. It also has a large private beach with chairs
and a huge 150m swimming pool that claims to be one of the largest outdoor
swimming pools in Vietnam. The food options range from upscale to
casual, and there are two pool bars and a beach bar, which offers great views
of the beach.
Rooms are new,
well-appointed, and up to a high international standard – all have a balcony or
terrace and a small seating area. Excellent facilities all
around, including two lighted tennis courts, with rooms exceeding expectations
based on current pricing (which means it is a good value), but overall the
resort feels a bit too massive; some feel that it lacks personality.
When it opened, the Golden
Sand Resort was primarily targeting the Vietnamese and expat markets as opposed
to the international traveler. Its main competitor is Palm Garden.
It is of a lower standard and price than the Victoria.
This resort is recommended
for families with children, as it has a great kids’ pool and kids’ room. It is also recommended for corporate events
and conferences.

Look out for discounted rates in the low season. We booked a deluxe ocean view room and were not at all disappointed. The room was clean and well appointed. The hotel has a huge swimming pool and when we were there the beach was deserted. The choice of food at breakfast was wide. The hotel bus service into Hoi An is rather infrequent particularly round about lunch and dinner time (I think this is the hotel's way of encouraging clients to dine on site) but the cost of a taxi is very cheap. I would definitely return to this hotel. |
