Abalone Resort & Spa is located on picturesque Tam Giang Lagoon in Thua Thien Hue Province just a short drive (2 km) from Thuan An Beach, one of the most popular beaches outside of Hue.
The Resort is only 20 minutes from central Hue City, 40 minutes from the Hue Airport and two and a half hours from Danang International Airport. The resort offers free shuttles into Hue City.

This place has a sort of odd
location, off a dusty dirt road, surrounded by barren agricultural landscape on
one side and the “picturesque Tam Giang Lagoon” on the other. The problem is that the part of the lagoon that
is picturesque can’t be seen from the Resort.
Some corrugated iron shacks dot the landscape.
The resort is laid out quite
openly, with three separate housing buildings, an outdoor pool and indoor
mineral water pool, a massage facility, a restaurant, and a tennis court.
The staff is tremendously
friendly and helpful. You also get the sense that they know that their resort
is located in a strange place, but if they try to ignore it then maybe everyone
else will too. Many of the buildings are
built on top of water, which could create a very romantic effect, but because
of the location’s arid vibe, the water seems more stagnant than romantic.
The rooms themselves are
very nice and new, with good fresh air circulation, comfortable beds, and plenty
of space.
